Welcome!
Hello! My name is Ivy.
I'm passionate about enabling water-efficient landscaping throughout the intermountain west. I earned my bachelors of science from the College of Natural Resources at Utah State University. I'm currently earning my Masters degree at USU in Professional Studies in Horticulture, and on the way am working at the Cache Valley Transit District as an administrative assistant (most incredible bosses you can find anywhere!). This semester I've been learning how to use photoshop as a means to reach out to the public, and for the first time in my life, have been able to create on screen or paper what I see in my head. I actually feel a little like an artist! I look forward to learning even more, and expect to expand my artistic vision to help people engage in the beauty and utility of water-efficient landscaping.
Personally, I first got to know my husband, Quinn, while on a quest to find the elusive cyan penstemon in Logan Canyon, and he began to steal my heart when he actually tried eating the edible weeds (purslane, I promise it tastes lemony) I offered him from my little garden. A mushroom hunt and multiple adventures later, we were engaged, and we've now enjoyed a year of marriage. We've drafted plans to build our own dream Hobbit hole, and I'm excited to see what life brings.
